I was looking for a new hair removal method for her. I had tried a bikini wax before and when I tell you it wasn't for me, It WAS NOT for me. Results were nice, but the road to getting there was rough. I was in so much pain. So I resorted back to shaving.
Shaving works for me in other areas like my legs and arm pits (although my hair grows back quick). I took an extra long time looking at some products at Walmart for hair removal. I saw that Nair had a product for more sensitive areas. I immediately went online and started reading reviews.
Some were scary. Most comments were good but there were comments where people said it didn't work or it burned them. Some said it didn't work. I didn't let this discourage me. Everyone is different so not everything is going to work for everyone. Unfortunately with these type of products, there is a chance there's a negative reaction. That's why it's important to follow the recommended instructions.
Directions: Read the WARNING SECTION before use.
Important: Do a patch test 24 hours before first time use to ensure you will not have a negative reaction to product
Don't let this scare you. Just like any chemical product, their are warnings with it. That's why I recommend doing a patch test.
Patch test placement: Try the inside of your thigh where your bikini area is. You still want to test on a sensitive area to ensure you will not have a negative reaction. Also, you can try a small area on the top of your vagina (closer to your stomach).
Cont'd Directions
1. Squeeze cream into fingertips. Smooth on a thick, even layer to cover hair. DO NOT RUB IN. Wash your hands immediately after application.
2. Leave the cream on for 6 minutes. Then check a small area for hair removal. If your hair is thick, you may need more time. (DON'T LEAVE ON LONGER THAN 10 MINUTES.)
3. Gently wipe off the cream and hair with a damp washcloth. DON’T RUB!
Once all hair has been removed, rinse skin thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Pat dry and you’re good to go!
My Process
I made sure to follow the instructions the first time I used it. I realized that I could use almost the max amount time because my hair was thicker. When I was wiping the cream off, I realized I had to wipe several times in that area to get the hair up. I cleaned off the hair and cream from my skin realizing I still had quite a bit of hair. I've never exceeded the maximum time of 10 minutes but since I still had unwanted hair, I decided to do another application. It worked! Do the application more then once. I wouldn't recommend doing it more then three times. But being someone with thicker hair, doing the application more then once, got me the results I wanted.
Recommendations?
1. I recommend doing this sitting on the toilet.
2. You can use cotton balls to sit in between your labia majora (outer lips), to help prevent product from getting inside. Do NOT put cotton balls inside of you.
3. Do patch test. This is a chemical product and you do not know if you will experience a negative reaction to it.
4. When wiping cream off, go back through to wipe hair up.
5. Always completely clean skin after use of bikini cream. Even if you are doing multiple applications.
